  Very interesting. Thanks. The new US administration will have to approach the energy question very seriously. It seems that the US and China are on a collision course towards securing the remaining sources of fossil fuel globally, especially in Africa. So renewable energy – government initiatives are usually reactive strategies meaning that they do something when they really have no other option.

  Here in Scandinavia, where we hardly ever see the sun for many winter months people have started investing in solar panels that work through the summer months. But windpower, which works throughout the year is almost non-existent except large installations in Denmark. Here in Finland also government initiatives followed the initial surge from individual pioneers.
