The solar thin film market seems to have entered a phase of rapid growth. With a production capacity growing at an average of 48% a year, and total global production of over 12 Gigawatts (GW), the global photovoltaic (PV) industry is said to be worth around $50 billion….

Hydropower, as you may guess from the name, refers to the use of water to produce power. It is one of the oldest and most often used renewable energy sources, becoming popular when the paddle wheel was invented in the 1800s and accounts for almost 3/4 of the US renewable energy use today. Before of electric power was widely available, hydropower was used to power mills, textile machines and for irrigation.
You would not believe what we at Green Products found (and no they are not UFOs). Can you imagine a field planted with silver balloons as far as the eye can see, or a hillside covered with silver balls? It’s not Christo’s latest pop-art install, but rather, a solar farm. This is what Cool Earth out of Livermore, California envisions in the very near future. The solar collection concept is not new, but the concentrator is different from anything seen before on any renewable energy product.
The united states military knows that it’s branches must revamp their thinking about how to engage in “the theater of war” in the new, post-Cold War world of the 21st century. One thing that the military leaders stress is the desire for the forces deployed in the theater to be able to be more energy-independent. Currently the united states military has policies and procedures in place to interact with allies or sympathetic local populaces to help it is forces in the field get their needed energy and clean water when engaged in a foreign military campaign. However, this is not wholly reliable, as the US might well find itself facing unilateral military activities, or have itself in a situation where it’s allies cannot help it with the resources it needs to conduct its military actions successfully.
With the current economic crisis and energy prices increasing, many people are considering the idea of installing solar photovoltaic power to supplement their home’s energy needs, and reduce their electricity bills.
But how much solar panel watt power do you need to say reduce your electricity bill by 50%? And how…
